About The Position

Academy Sports + Outdoors is seeking a Recruiter Talent Acquisition to lead full-cycle recruiting for their store operations, including salaried positions. The role focuses on ensuring every candidate experience reflects the brand and values, from sourcing top talent through multiple channels to guiding candidates through interviews and negotiations. The Recruiter will leverage applicant tracking systems and web-based tools to maintain an efficient and engaging hiring process. Additionally, the role involves acting as a strategic partner to store leaders and HR teams, aligning recruiting strategies with succession planning and growth objectives. This includes building strong pipelines for critical store positions, providing insights through hiring trend analysis, and participating in recruitment events. The goal is to shape the future of Academy's stores by connecting exceptional talent with meaningful opportunities.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1+ years of recruiting or talent acquisition experience.
  • Proficiency with applicant tracking systems (Workday preferred) and web-based recruiting tools.
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, changing environment.
  • Skilled in interviewing, organization, and time management.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • A team-first attitude.
  • Acceptable level of hearing and vision to perform job duties.
  • Ability to adhere to company policies and professional standards.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, HR, Communications, or related field preferred.
  • Retail experience preferred.
