The City of Renton Parks and Recreation Department is seeking enthusiastic and dependable Recreation Leaders to join our After School STREAM (Science, Technology, Recreation, Engineering, Arts, and Math) Program at the Highlands Neighborhood Center. We are hiring multiple positions to help provide a fun, safe, and engaging after-school experience for youth. As a Recreation Leader, you will work alongside the Recreation Coordinator and other City staff to plan, prepare, and lead a variety of recreational and enrichment activities for elementary and middle school-aged participants. Programs may include STREAM-based learning, leadership development, games, arts and crafts, special events, volunteer opportunities, family engagement nights, and community-building activities. In addition to leading activities, Recreation Leaders assist with program setup and cleanup, transporting participants, maintaining a clean and welcoming facility, and helping create a positive environment where every child feels included, supported, and encouraged to learn and grow. This is an ongoing supplemental position during the school year. Most shifts are Monday through Friday from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., with additional opportunities to support special events, school breaks, and other Parks and Recreation programs. We will be accepting applications until positions are filled.
