About The Position

The City of Goodyear is hiring a part-time Recreation Center Attendant at the Goodyear Recreation Center (GRC). The role supports facility operations and helps ensure the safety and satisfaction of facility users. The attendant provides customer service, shares information about GRC operations and programming, monitors users, maintains facility areas and equipment, assists with program and event logistics, and enforces facility policies. The position also requires professional handling of disputes, accidents, and incidents, as well as flexibility to perform other duties assigned by a supervisor. Requirements

Strong communication skills.

Nice To Haves

At least one year of customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Monitor users in the weight room, indoor track, gymnasium, fitness studios, teen room, front desk, and other building areas to ensure safe practices.
Greet patrons and provide excellent customer service.
Maintain knowledge of GRC operations and programming and provide accurate information to participants.
Complete sign-up procedures for GRC programs and rentals, including swimming lessons, sports programs, group fitness classes, and ramada rentals.
Answer, screen, and direct incoming calls and appointments.
Clean and maintain fitness equipment, the welcome center, indoor track, storage, lobby, and other GRC areas.
Assist participants with acquiring checkout equipment.
Assist with event and program setup and takedown.
Enforce facility policies and handle disputes, accidents, and incidents professionally.
Perform other duties assigned by a supervisor.
