About The Position

The Recreation Facility Attendant works at the Summit Fitness & Recreation Center under the direction of the Program Coordinator and Recreation Specialist. The role involves leading recreational programs, ensuring equipment and facilities are clean, supervising program participants, and performing related tasks. Flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, and compliance with safety guidelines are essential.

Requirements

• Complete two years of high school.
• Hold a valid driver’s license.
• Have CPR and First Aid certifications, or be able to attain them within 90 days.
• Have a food handler license, or be able to attain it within 90 days.

Nice To Haves

• One year of experience in a related area.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety and well-being of campers and program participants.
• Clean equipment, the facility, spas, and saunas.
• Prepare sport courts, tennis areas, reservable rooms, and basketball courts for daily play activities.
• Communicate effectively with the recreation management team.
• Perform daily office tasks, including filing, sorting, and answering phones.
• Assist with work events and special Parks and Recreation programs.
• Serve meals and snacks to program participants as needed.
• Follow City policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
