Recreation Coordinator I
About The Position
To coordinate recreational programs for residents and visitors including youth camps, after-school enrichment programs, community recreation programs, and outreach initiatives; promote program activities; and perform a variety of tasks relative to assigned area of responsibility. Provide assistance to upper-level supervisor(s) or administrator(s); perform a wide variety of responsibilities related to program registration and community partnerships department budget tracking, account coordination, and develop new systems or improve existing systems and procedures to increase department efficiency.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Two years of experience in recreation program coordination or a related field.
- Valid California Driver's License.
- Ability to pass a background check.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor's degree in Recreation, Parks and Recreation Management, or a related field.
- Experience with community outreach and partnership development.
- Bilingual in Spanish.
