About The Position

The Recreation Complex Supervisor is responsible for the overall daily management and operations of a recreation complex. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting operations of the complex, assisting visitors, managing public conduct by enforcing rules and regulations, overseeing seasonal staff at the complex, as well as ensuring the grounds and facility are safe, clean, and maintained properly. Work is performed under regular supervision of the Recreation Operation Manager.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • General knowledge of the operation of a weigh station
  • General knowledge of landfill disposal policies
  • Ability to use calculator in making simple mathematical calculations
  • Ability to write legibly and make written reports
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with associates and the general public
  • Ability to use computer system
  • Ability to maintain detailed records.

Nice To Haves

  • Prefer knowledge and/or experience in facility supervision.

Responsibilities

  • Open and close the facility and amenities of the facility daily.
  • Inspection amenities and facilities to ensure safety at all times; Grass cutting, leaf blowing, lining fields, sweeping, and mopping as needed.
  • Cleaning and stocking restrooms; Properly disposing of all trash on the premises; Monitoring facility and customer service including facility rentals; On site supervision of public on the entire premises including enforcing rules and proper conduct;
  • When applicable, oversee seasonal staff;
  • Distribute and collect equipment/supplies as needed;
  • Serve as the go-to person for Complex rules or for challenging situations/disputes on premises;
  • Ensure organization and accuracy in paperwork including but not limited to facility inspection forms, accident/incident reports, work order submissions, etc.;
  • Communicate effectively with staff, officials, emergency personnel, Sheriff’s office, and the public;
  • Provide routine information on facility policies, procedures, fees, and services;
  • Assist with projects needed for upkeep or maintenance;
  • Set up and break down for rentals and/or events;
  • Attends trainings and conducts staff meetings as needed;
  • Must be willing to be crossed trained in all areas of park & recreation.
  • Perform other related duties as required.
