About The Position

Islander Resort is seeking an energetic, experienced, hands-on Activities Associate to join Schulte Hospitality Group. The role supports the resort’s service culture by providing personalized guest service and helping guests enjoy seamless resort activities. The attendant leads and assists with recreation programming, monitors safety, maintains recreation spaces and equipment, helps develop new experiences aligned with the resort’s luxury standards and wellness culture, and collaborates with other departments. The position is tipped eligible. Specific compensation and benefit details will be discussed during the interview process.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience in hospitality, recreation, or customer service; luxury resort experience is preferred.
• Fluency in written and verbal English.
• Comfort speaking in a group setting, attention to detail, and ability to anticipate individual needs.
• Ability to lead and engage groups of guests of all ages with enthusiasm, knowledge, and professionalism.
• Basic first aid and CPR certification, or willingness to obtain certification.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
• Physical ability to lift equipment, set up activity spaces, and remain active throughout the shift.

Responsibilities

• Provide personalized service to guests and ensure an enjoyable, seamless experience with resort activities.
• Lead and assist with scheduled activities, including outdoor sports, fitness classes, kids’ programs, wellness experiences, and cultural events.
• Monitor recreational areas, follow safety procedures, and assist guests as needed.
• Maintain the cleanliness, storage, and readiness of recreation areas, pools, equipment, and activity centers, including indoor and outdoor spaces.
• Assist in creating innovative recreational experiences aligned with the resort’s luxury standards and wellness culture.
• Collaborate daily with other departments to provide seamless guest experiences.
• Set up activity spaces and equipment as needed.
