About The Position

Hilton La Jolla Torrey Pines is seeking a friendly, attentive, and proactive Recreation Attendant with a passion for hospitality and creating exceptional guest experiences. The role supports the resort’s fire-side s’mores program for hotel and non-hotel guests, helping create a relaxing and memorable experience by preparing fire pits and seating, providing food and beverage service, and making guests feel welcomed and cared for. The attendant also supports recreation operations, including pool setup and upkeep, guest assistance, and maintaining safe, clean, inviting spaces.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist guests, respond promptly to requests, and resolve issues in a friendly and efficient manner.
• Confirm guest registration and assist with pool setup, including towels, chairs, umbrellas, and recreational equipment.
• Clean and maintain the pool area, including furniture, showers, cabanas, and surrounding spaces.
• Collect used towels, restock clean towels, and monitor inventory to minimize loss.
• Inspect and care for umbrellas, rafts, speakers, and other equipment to ensure safety and functionality.
• Observe pool activity, identify potential hazards, and address or report issues promptly.
• Assist with general recreation duties and special activities as needed to enhance the guest experience.
• Prepare fire pits and seating areas and provide attentive food and beverage service during the fire-side s’mores program.
