The Recreation Assistant will provide activities of a physical, social, mental and spiritual nature tailored to the individual abilities, needs and desires of those we serve to enable them to enjoy the highest quality of life. Join us and help make aging part of life®! Parker offers two Adult Day programs in Highland Park to address the issues of loneliness and isolation experienced by many elders who are aging at home. Social Program employees provide varied and vibrant activities that encourage and motivate seniors to stay connected to their peers, maintain their independence, bringing meaning and enjoyment to their days. Our Medical Program provides the added benefits of individualized medication administration, support services, personal and therapeutic care. Parker Adult Day Center is staffed with people who are committed to meeting the needs of our program participants. Our nursing staff and social workers create individualized care plans to provide the best possible medical care, from blood pressure checks to medication management. Program participants benefit from peer relationships and socialization as well as interactions with our dedicated care partners.

Requirements

  • High school graduate or GED required
  • Current NJ driver’s license.
  • Flu vaccine required during flu season.

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum one year experience in long term care and/or dementia care preferred.
  • May be required to drive company vehicles.
  • May occasionally be required to work/travel to other locations.
