About The Position
The Recreation Aide monitors, plans, and directs students participating in center-sponsored activities both on and off center. The role involves teaching healthy, engaging extracurricular activities and supporting student retention by planning and conducting recreation programs that meet students’ needs.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- One year of experience working with youth.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Computer proficiency.
Nice To Haves
- Valid commercial driver’s license (Class B) with an acceptable driving record and passenger endorsement.
Responsibilities
- Plan, implement, and coordinate a diversified program that attracts voluntary participation.
- Conduct and coordinate recreation activities and chaperone students to recreation functions on and off center.
- Conduct activities for career preparation students that enhance student retention.
- Assist with monitoring the student store and conduct physical education classes.
- Plan and conduct activities that enhance student retention and meet all students’ needs.
