About The Position

EMPACT- Suicide Prevention Center, part of the La Frontera family, is seeking caring, reliable, and determined individuals for a crucial Recovery Technician role within their 24/7 facility. This position offers a transformative opportunity to change lives by providing support to clients. The role involves counseling, education, and supervision of clients in both individual and group settings as part of a multi-disciplinary team, assisting them in achieving their treatment goals. Technicians will direct, participate in, and assist clients with daily activities, evaluate clients during these activities, and consult with or make referrals to other community agencies for needed client services. Maintaining clinical documentation, including client progress, activity documentation, med observation records, and shift notes, is essential. The role also requires intervening in and attempting to avert crisis situations, and providing orientation to new clients upon intake. This position requires availability for days, nights, and weekends, including on-call shifts. Opportunities for Night Recovery Technicians with variable hours are also available.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED is required.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills is required.
  • Must have a valid AZ driver's license with no major infractions in the past three years.
  • Must have Fingerprint clearance card or be eligible to obtain one.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older at time of employment.
  • Demonstrated ability to remain calm in crisis situations, work independently and cooperatively, recognize personal limitations, and relate positively and with empathy to all persons regardless of age, race, creed, gender, or sexual orientation.
  • Maintain professional conduct consistent with ethical professional practice and the policies and procedures of the agency.
  • Maintain a professional demeanor and positive working relationships with internal and external team members, stakeholders, and community and business partners.
  • If driving while on agency time or on agency business, a valid Arizona driver license and appropriate liability insurance and approval for liability coverage with EMPACT - SPC’s liability insurance carrier is required.
  • At time of hire, a 3-year state driving record with no major infractions or excessive driving violations/tickets is required.

Responsibilities

  • Provides counseling, education and supervision of clients in both individual and group settings as part of a multi-disciplinary team to assist clients in achieving their treatment goals.
  • Directs, participates and assists clients in planning and carrying out daily activities and evaluates clients during activities.
  • Consults with and may make referrals to other community agencies to provide needed client services.
  • Maintains clinical documentation including client progress towards goals, documentation of activities, med observation records, shift notes etc.
  • Intervenes in crisis situations and attempts to avert potential crisis situation.
  • Provides orientation to new clients upon intake.
  • Transport clients in agency vehicles as necessary.
  • May assist in orientation and training of new staff members.
  • May attend and participate in client staffing to determine progress and treatment outcomes.
  • Perform related duties as assigned.
