About The Position
The Recovery Specialist works at the Danvers Treatment Center, a 41-bed detoxification program providing 24-hour nursing care to monitor withdrawal from alcohol and other drugs and alleviate symptoms. The program offers clients medical and emotional support, individual case management, and group treatment focused on helping them access step-down levels of care. This role helps maintain a safe, structured program environment and supports people experiencing addiction.
Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
Nice To Haves
- Experience working with the substance use population.
- Valid Massachusetts driver’s license in good standing.
Responsibilities
- Monitor client activities to ensure the safety and structure of the program milieu.
- Observe and supervise clients and the unit, including conducting 30-minute client well-being checks.
- Conduct telephone admission screenings and perform other admission duties.
- Search client belongings at admission and discharge, or as otherwise directed by a supervisor.
- Complete required checklists, shift documentation, and record keeping promptly and in accordance with agency policies and procedures.
