About The Position
The Recovery Specialist works at the Danvers Treatment Center, a 41-bed detoxification program providing 24-hour nursing care and medical and emotional support to people withdrawing from alcohol and/or other drugs. The program offers individual case management and group treatment services to help clients access step-down levels of care. The Recovery Specialist helps maintain a safe and structured program environment and supports clients during an important stage of recovery.
Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
Nice To Haves
- Experience working with the substance use population.
- Valid Massachusetts driver’s license in good standing.
Responsibilities
- Monitor client activities to ensure the safety and structure of the program milieu.
- Observe and supervise clients and the unit, including conducting client well-being checks every 30 minutes.
- Conduct telephone admission screenings and other admissions duties.
- Search client belongings upon admission and discharge, or as otherwise directed by a supervisor.
- Complete checklists, shift documentation, and records promptly in accordance with agency policies and procedures.
