About The Position

The Recovery Specialist II provides care responsive to the physical and psychological needs of members served. The role delivers direct and indirect services according to individual service plans and Medicaid standards. The position is with Pierce County E&T, a secure 16-bed inpatient facility for adults aged 18 and older diagnosed with serious mental illness. Patients are experiencing acute mental health crises and pose an actual or imminent risk of harm to themselves or others. The average stay is seven to 22 days.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED and two years of experience in a psychiatric mental health setting, or a BA/BS and one year of experience in a mental health setting.
• Knowledge of basic nursing skills and interventions, as well as mental and physical health conditions and terminology.
• Current Washington Agency Affiliated Counselor certification is required. The position requires a current Washington State credential appropriate to the position and issued through the Washington Department of Health. Minimum credential requirement is Agency Affiliated Counselor (AAC) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA); other WADOH licenses or certifications may be considered.
