Eating Disorder Recovery Coach
About The Position
Monte Nido Clementine West Linn is a residential treatment program in West Linn, Oregon, serving adolescents seeking treatment for anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, binge eating disorder, or exercise addiction. The program supports adolescents and their families in recovery by helping clients build healthy skills and navigate life free of their eating disorder, while involving families as partners in the recovery process. The Recovery Coach supports clients throughout their recovery journey and provides care consistent with their treatment plans. This per diem position requires availability for weekend evening shifts from 2:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m., with a requirement of four shifts per month. The role offers an opportunity to develop a career in mental health and the eating disorder field.
Requirements
- At least two years of education after high school.
- A valid state-issued driver’s license and a safe driving history.
- Good communication and client-relations skills, service orientation, flexibility, and the ability to work as part of a team.
Nice To Haves
- A bachelor’s degree in psychology is preferred.
- At least one year of experience in a mental or behavioral health setting is highly desired and required in some states.
Responsibilities
- Support and guide clients through their recovery journey.
- Provide support and intervention consistent with each client’s treatment plan.
- Help clients develop healthy and appropriate connections with other clients in the milieu and with the team.
- Assist with food preparation and setup; model and supervise client meals and snacks.
- Participate in therapeutic groups and develop core skills that promote clinical growth.
- Conduct rounds and provide observations.
- Occasionally drive clients off-site for appointments and activities.
