AECOM, in a joint venture with a joint venture, is providing program management services to the Chicago Department of Water Management (DWM) and is seeking a Records Technician to support the Chicago- DWM Capital Improvement Program. The Records Technician's primary responsibility is to update DWM documents related to the City of Chicago’s water distribution infrastructure. The Records Section coordinates with field inspectors, design engineers, and DWM employees to ensure accurate data is posted for all employees to view. During this process, the Records Section will gather, review, and analyze Record Drawing submittals to ensure that DWM documents are accurately updated and posted. Additionally, the Records Section is responsible for creating and maintaining cells and a cell library using MicroStation V8i for the Records Section's specific use. This role may provide as-needed CAD support to the Water Main Design Team. Excellent writing and verbal communication skills are necessary, as a significant portion of the position involves emailing and phone conversations with other staff members. The position is deadline-driven and requires a high degree of organization to review/handle multiple projects simultaneously.
