About The Position

The Records Management Team is a part of the Policy, Ethics and Records Unit in the Law Department. Reporting to the Executive Director of Policy and Procedures and the Former Student Records Lead, the Records Management Part Time/Seasonal Employee will support members of the Former Student Records Team in carrying out its mission to efficiently manage current and former student records and timely fulfill records requests in accordance with all local, state and federal laws. This is a part-time position 24 of hours per week and does not qualify for benefits.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
  • 1 year experience providing excellent customer service
  • Strong communication skills (speaking, listening, and writing) and attention to detail
  • Strong project management and organizational skills
  • Effective strategic planning capabilities, including the ability to establish long-term vision and goals, and align/manage activities toward goal fulfillment
  • Ability to define problems, analyze data, and outline valid conclusions and action steps
  • Basic computer skills, including familiarity with programs such as Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and Google Suite
  • Must be residents of Illinois.

Nice To Haves

  • 1 year experience working in a warehouse setting providing warehouse/clerical support
  • 1 year data entry experience

Responsibilities

  • Processing former student records requests
  • Filing and organizing student records
  • Answering phones and responding to email inquiries
  • Light work involving lifting up to 25 pounds (e.g. a case of paper records)
  • Other duties as assigned
