About The Position

The National Indian Gaming Commission (NIGC) is seeking a Records Management Specialist II to support its mission of promoting tribal economic development, maintaining the integrity of the Indian gaming industry, and ensuring Tribes are the primary beneficiaries of their gaming activities. This role involves performing records management activities in accordance with federal government privacy and legal requirements, assisting with Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) and Privacy Act (PA) processes, and managing the flow of related correspondence. The specialist will also maintain the Salesforce Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system, participate in developing information management policies for Microsoft 365 and Salesforce platforms, manage SharePoint sites, and create PowerShell scripts for reporting and records management tasks. Ensuring the accuracy and completeness of all work products is essential.

Requirements

  • A minimum of three (3) years of continuous experience.
  • Demonstrated hands-on experience in performing the required tasks is mandatory and may not be substituted.
  • US citizenship may be a prerequisite for certain roles.

  • Relevant IT certifications may be substituted for a formal college degree.

Responsibilities

  • Perform records management activities according to Federal government privacy and legal requirements.
  • Assist in the development of analyses and reports associated with the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) and the Privacy Act (PA) processes.
  • Manage the flow of FOIA and PA correspondence or requests and establish processes to provide prompt responses to requestors in accordance with FOIA policies, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Perform technical tasks involved in maintaining Salesforce Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system.
  • Participate in the development of information management policies and governance of supporting applications on Microsoft 365 and Salesforce platforms.
  • Manage SharePoint sites content and permissions.
  • Create and execute PowerShell scripts to produce reports and perform records management tasks.
  • Compile data for reports, transcribe reports, and maintain indexes.
  • Ensure that all work products are proofread and free of errors, omissions, and inconsistencies.
