About The Position

This is responsible work assisting with the distribution of mail in the Kansas Judicial Center. The Records Clerk III will sort CPC return mail and organize/scan by payment type for CPC. The incumbent will comply with any USPS forwarding orders for returned mail and readdress/mail traffic 30-day letters and collection delinquent notices to updated addresses. The role also involves printing and mailing receipt requests in self-addressed, stamped envelopes as directed by CPC. Additionally, the position supports the building manager in coordinating the setup and breakdown of building-wide events, and performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Graduation from high school, or equivalent.
  • Supplemented by general office experience.

Responsibilities

  • Sort CPC return mail and organize/scan by payment type for CPC.
  • Comply with USPS forwarding orders for returned mail and readdress/mail traffic 30-day letters and collection delinquent notices to updated addresses.
  • Print and mail receipt requests in self-addressed, stamped envelopes as directed by CPC.
  • Assist in picking up, x-raying, sorting, and distributing incoming and outgoing mail.
  • Assist in maintaining and delivering copy paper and office supplies to all floors in the building.
  • Check dock for UPS next day air mail and ensure all time frames are met for pickup and delivery.
  • Run tracking on packages sent by UPS and Fed Ex to ensure delivery.
  • Record incoming and outgoing UPS mail in log and sort for distribution.
  • Stamp outgoing mail and ensure mail is ready for pickup.
  • Support the building manager in coordinating the setup and breakdown of building-wide events.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
