About The Position

Reporting within the Financial Services organization, this position is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and supporting day-to-day Record-to-Report (R2R) activities, including financial reporting, journal entries, account reconciliations, intercompany netting, month-end close processes and supporting plant controllers. Requirements

  • Ability to exercise independent judgment to ascertain the reasonableness and accuracy of information.
  • Understanding of accounting best practices.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
  • Ability to adapt to fast pace and rapidly changing environment.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Proficient understanding of end-to-end business processes from record to internal/external reporting.
  • Ability to identify and implement process improvements
  • Associate’s degree in accounting, finance or related field 2+ years’ experience or Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field
  • Strong technology skills, including Excel and other reporting tools

Nice To Haves

  • SAP S4 Hana, Fiori experience is highly valued

Responsibilities

  • Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities by completing assigned tasks accurately and on time
  • Prepare journal entries and supporting documentation for recurring accounting activities
  • Perform account reconciliations; investigate variances and resolve differences with appropriate support
  • Monitor accounting data to identify trends, variances for potential improvement opportunities, and escalate issues as appropriate
  • Maintain clear, organized documentation to support internal controls and audit requirements
  • Assist with audits by providing documentation and responding to inquiries
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to obtain information and resolve accounting-related questions
  • Follow standard operating procedures and contribute to updates as processes evolve
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives and identify opportunities to increase efficiency and standardization
