The Reconstruction Project Manager leads reconstruction projects from initial assessment through completion, ensuring work is completed on time and within budget. This person is often the first reconstruction professional on site after fires, floods, and other disasters, assessing property damage, determining reconstruction needs, and building trust with homeowners, commercial clients, and insurance partners. The role guides property owners through the reconstruction process with clarity, urgency, and care. The manager oversees budgets, schedules, trades, job-site performance, plans, timelines, compliance, documentation, and project flow in coordination with Project Coordinators. They coordinate subcontractors and in-house trades to ensure quality workmanship and maintain alignment with third-party administrator and insurance guidelines. The position includes scheduled 24/7 on-call coverage, including nights, weekends, and holidays, and may involve providing emergency recovery kits and on-site support. The role also includes educating customers about reconstruction processes and expectations, reviewing estimates and budgets, responding to incoming leads, developing relationships with vendors, trades, and community partners, and participating in community events and networking. The manager is expected to stay current on required certifications and safety training and to support the company’s mission, vision, and values. Work takes place indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions and may involve post-disaster sites with debris or other hazards.
