About The Position

Thomasville Restoration is hiring a Project Manager to support its growth and mission of putting families’ homes and lives back together across the Mid-Atlantic. The role manages restoration projects ranging from $1,000 to $60,000, with approximately 22–28 active projects at a time, and covers West Philly, West Chester, Reading, and Wilmington. The Project Manager serves as a homeowner’s trusted guide through reconstruction, coordinating schedules, subcontractors, funding, materials, and communication while helping reduce homeowner stress and protect their investment. The position requires experienced management of construction or home improvement projects, along with strong job-costing, organizational, communication, decision-making, and customer-service skills. QuickBooks experience is preferred. The role involves working with homeowners, subcontractors, insurance adjusters, vendors, and internal teams to keep projects on schedule and profitable while delivering compassionate, high-integrity service.

Requirements

At least 3 years of experience managing construction or home improvement projects.
Knowledge of job-cost analysis and profitability.
Self-motivated, organized, and accountable for results.
Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills across email, text, and phone.
Ability to solve problems and make independent decisions.
Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Customer-service orientation and ability to build strong relationships with teammates, vendors, and homeowners.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Outlook.
Empathetic and compassionate, with a commitment to integrity and honesty.
Ability to cover West Philly, West Chester, Reading, and Wilmington.

Responsibilities

Ensure 100% compliance with Thomasville’s Project Concierge Playbook.
Manage restoration projects ranging from $1,000 to $60,000 and oversee approximately 22–28 active projects at a time.
Create short- and long-term plans, set milestones, and meet deadlines.
Break down project budgets across trades and restoration components.
Advocate for additional insurance proceeds when necessary to secure project funding.
Delegate tasks to appropriate in-house teams or subcontractors.
Communicate consistently with homeowners and subcontractors to set expectations and maintain alignment.
Coordinate with insurance adjusters and representatives on project goals, funding, and timelines.
Provide weekly progress updates to the Thomasville team and insurance adjusters.
Adjust schedules and targets as needed to meet deadlines and profitability goals.
Order and manage materials and equipment to keep projects on track.
Collect and process change orders as required.
Submit receipts and verify job-costing accuracy in QuickBooks.
Make effective decisions among available options to move projects forward.
Use conflict-resolution strategies to address challenges.
Assist with collections, including deductibles, milestone payments, and signatures.
Coordinate schedules and manage subcontractors throughout reconstruction.
