About The Position

Bergstrom Automotive is hiring a Reconditioning Technician at its Appleton Depot in Appleton, Wisconsin. The technician diagnoses and repairs vehicles to Bergstrom standards, inspects and tests new vehicles, and records findings. The role is expected to produce flat-rate hours at 120% efficiency or better, explain diagnoses and required repairs to Service Advisors in non-technical language, and safely test-drive guest vehicles before and after repairs.

The schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Pay starts hourly and changes to a flat-rate structure after training. The posting describes earning potential of $100,000 or more, dependent on experience and productivity.

Requirements

• A degree in Automotive Technology or one to two years of experience as an Automotive Technician.
• A valid driver's license and a reputable driving record.
• An upbeat and positive personality.
• Active listening skills.
• Ability to provide excellent guest service.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to build relationships with team members and guests.

Nice To Haves

• ASE Certifications are preferred.
• Chevrolet automotive technician experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Accurately diagnose and repair vehicles to meet Bergstrom standards.
• Inspect and test new vehicles and record findings.
