About The Position

Walser Automotive Group is hiring a Reconditioning Center Journeyperson Technician to perform maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on used vehicles of all makes and models. The technician will make repairs needed to recondition vehicles from start to finish, follow company safety procedures, and protect company assets. The position is scheduled Monday through Friday from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Compensation is $35 per hour plus incentives. Technicians work in climate-controlled reconditioning shops. Required protective footwear and safety eyewear must be worn in Recon warehouse service departments. Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age.
Must have a valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record.
Previous detailing experience.
Must be team oriented.
Ability to provide your own basic tools.
Must be reliable and have a good work ethic.
Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, lift up to 50 pounds, and stand for extended periods.
Automotive degree and/or certification preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform oil changes.
Replace bulbs and air filters.
Check fluid levels, brakes, tires, and perform other minor repairs on used vehicles of all makes and models.
Use diagnostic equipment to diagnose no-start, poor-running, squeaking, rattling, front-suspension, and check-engine-light conditions.
Make virtually all repairs needed to recondition cars from start to finish.
Follow company safety policies and procedures and protect company assets.
Wear safety eyewear at all times in Recon warehouse service departments.
Wear hard-toed, slip-resistant footwear in Recon warehouse service departments.
Complete other duties, tasks, and projects as assigned.
