The Reconditioning and PDI Representative (RPR) manages, writes, and tracks reconditioning, pre-delivery inspection (PDI), and inventory recall work. The role coordinates and supervises technicians and porters, including communication, work allocation, and training, to support efficient team performance and a compliant reconditioning process. The RPR is responsible for timely processing of used-vehicle reconditioning, PDI, and recalls for new and used vehicles, supporting AutoNation’s four-day turnaround target. The position aims to increase used-vehicle gross and sales by preparing high-quality, front-line-ready vehicles, and to increase internal after-sales gross through management of recall, reconditioning, and PDI processes. The role manages internal repair orders and vehicle reconditioning through the After-Sales Compass RPR system, coordinates recall completion, prepares estimates, seeks approval for additional work, and maintains quality, pricing, labor-time, and CPO standards. It also works with service, sales, parts, and vendor teams to maintain staffing, improve quality and cycle time, and ensure accurate, timely invoicing.
