About The Position

Otsego Public Schools is seeking to add a Recess Aide/Lunch Supervisor to the staff at Dix Street Elementary. This position is responsible for supervising students during meals in the cafeteria and on the playground, ensuring their safety and adherence to rules. The role also involves administering minor first aid, caring for sick children, and escorting students as needed. The ideal candidate will work cooperatively with other staff to foster a positive school environment and will report any serious disciplinary issues to administration. This is a part-time position, Monday through Friday, from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm.

Responsibilities

• Works cooperatively with the other adults in the building toward a positive, productive school environment
• Supervises students in the cafeteria during meals
• Informs administration of any serious infraction of discipline rules by students.
• Supervises students on the playground and ensures students are being safe and following rules.
• Administers minor first aid, cares for sick children and informs office staff / teachers as needed
• Escort and supervise individual students and/or groups of students both in and outside the building as needed including students sent to the office
• Other duties as assigned by the building principal.
