About The Position

Loan Service Center Receptionist | Location: 11149 Research Blvd, Austin, TX | Schedule: Monday – Friday 7:30AM – 4:00PM | FLSA Status : Nonexempt Austin Telco FCU is looking for a Loan Service Center Receptionist to join our family. The Loan Service Center Receptionist provides accurate, courteous, and efficient service to members by greeting visitors, determining their needs, and directing them to the appropriate department. This role also supports the Loan Service Center through administrative and clerical responsibilities while supporting Austin Telco’s mission and values of Respect, Empathy, Service, Integrity, and Cooperation.

Requirements

  • Minimum of three (3) months of related customer service, receptionist, administrative, or clerical experience.
  • High school Diploma or GED
  • Understanding of professional office operations and member service practices.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to provide courteous, accurate, and timely service to members and staff.
  • Ability to organize tasks, manage time effectively, and maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good credit standing (verified prior to interview)
  • Successful background check and drug screening upon offer

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with financial institution environments preferred.
  • Prior experience in a financial institution or member service environment
  • Familiarity with credit union products, services, and terminology
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Teams, Word, and Excel

Responsibilities

  • Greet members in person and by phone while providing courteous, professional service
  • Determine the nature of member requests and direct them to the appropriate department
  • Provide general information regarding credit union services, benefits, and account balances
  • Deliver accurate, timely, and service-focused support to members and visitors
  • Organize and distribute daily mail to appropriate departments
  • Receive and log overnight mail and packages for tracking purposes
  • Ensure supplies are stocked and maintained within the Loan Department
  • Perform clerical and administrative duties to support daily department operations
  • Maintain organization and attention to detail while balancing multiple responsibilities
  • Support smooth day-to-day operations within the Loan Service Center
  • Maintain professionalism and reliability in a fast-paced office environment
  • Contribute to a positive member and team experience while supporting operational needs
  • Other duties may be assigned.
