About The Position

Building supply company is looking for a full-time combination receptionist / data entry clerk. Responsibilities will include; answering phones, greeting customers, scanning invoices, gathering information on the internet and cleaning the showroom. To be successful in this role, you will need excellent computer, math and verbal communication skills, as well as competency in Microsoft Office applications such as Word and Excel. Prior administrative and clerical experience is also helpful.

Requirements

  • High school graduate or minimum of 2 years office experience.
  • Excellent computer software & internet skills.
  • Strong mathematical background (accounting experience is a plus!)
  • Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Able to operate office equipment: computer, copier, printer, scanner, adding machine, etc.
  • Consistent, professional dress and manner.
  • Must be able to multi-task and work quickly.
  • Able to contribute positively as part of a team, helping with various tasks as required.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior administrative and clerical experience is also helpful.
  • accounting experience is a plus!

Responsibilities

  • Answers, forwards and screens phone calls on a multi-line system in a professional manner, and routes calls as necessary.
  • Greets clients and visitors with a positive, helpful and friendly attitude.
  • Cleans and maintains the main showroom.
  • Assists colleagues with a variety of administrative tasks including copying, faxing, gathering information, etc.
  • Prepares meeting and training rooms.
  • Runs errands as needed.
  • Provides excellent customer service.
  • Scan pick tickets and attach them to invoices inside the computer program.
  • Print necessary invoices containing item group and calculate totals for rebate.
