About The Position

University Behavioral Health of Denton is a private freestanding psychiatric hospital specializing in mental health and chemical dependency care. Serving North Texas and surrounding areas, UBH Denton has provided a range of programs treating mental health illnesses and substance abuse issues since 2005. Our inpatient and outpatient psychiatric services offer supportive and compassionate care for adolescents and adults with specialty programs that are tailored to meet the needs of our patients. Requirements

High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
Two (2) years experience on a multi-line telephone switchboard, preferably in a health care environment.
Any combination of education, training, or experience in a hospital environment preferred.
May be required to work occasional overtime and flexible hours.

Responsibilities

Follow the facility guest relations program when greeting and assisting all visitors, ensuring all visitors sign the visitor log and obtain a visitor pass.
Answer and disseminate all incoming calls on the switchboard in a professional and courteous manner within three rings.
Utilize the paging system to announce callers as required.
If assigned, provide clerical support to admissions - Collate admission folder as required.
Assist with miscellaneous patient account folders on a daily basis.
Prepare weekday deposits.
Prepare monthly statements for mailing.
Assist with various clerical duties and projects as assigned.
May assist with completing appropriate paperwork for new admissions during after-hours shifts if assigned.
Maintain the Receptionist schedule and serve as back up as needed.
