About The Position

The Greeter/Receptionist serves as the face of the Jackson Hewitt brand during periods of high client traffic and demand. The role engages potential and existing clients, shares information about Jackson Hewitt services, products, and promotions, and encourages interest in tax preparation appointments. This seasonal role also assists with appointment scheduling, answering phones, and distributing checks when appropriate to support a positive and efficient client experience.

Requirements

Good interpersonal and communication skills.
High school diploma/GED, or equivalent related business experience.

Nice To Haves

Customer service or sales experience.
Reliable transportation.
A valid driver's license and insurance.

Responsibilities

Greet potential clients in a friendly and professional manner.
Engage potential clients in conversation and share information about Jackson Hewitt’s services, products, and promotions.
Offer promotional items to potential clients by walking the store floor for vendor partners or marketing to local businesses near storefronts.
Assist with scheduling tax preparation appointments.
Monitor client flow and keep clients engaged during wait times.
Monitor client activity and take initiative to answer phones or assist with check distribution according to established procedures when Tax Preparers are with other clients.
