About The Position

Avenues Recovery Center is hiring a part-time Receptionist for its inpatient detox and residential facility in Norfolk, Virginia. The schedule is 4:00 p.m.–8:00 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays and 10:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m. on Sundays. The receptionist performs clerical and administrative duties, manages calls and correspondence, and helps maintain the reception area and office supplies.

Requirements

• Strong communication, organization, and multitasking skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and accountability at all times.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• At least one year of experience in the treatment industry preferred.
• If in recovery, at least one year of sustained sobriety is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform standard clerical duties, including emailing, filing, photocopying, faxing, and transcribing.
• Monitor phones and voicemail, and route calls and messages appropriately.
• Handle incoming and outgoing mail and UPS and Amazon shipments.
• Maintain the inventory and cleanliness of the reception area and restock office supplies as needed.
• Maintain the pharmacy copay log and record payments.
• Perform administrative errands and other duties as assigned.
