About The Position

The University of Nebraska Foundation is seeking a Receptionist/Advancement Assistant to serve as a trusted, reliable support partner. This role is responsible for growing relationships and resources that enable the University of Nebraska to change lives and save lives. Requirements

  • Associate's degree or equivalent.
  • 1-3 years of experience in a customer service role within a professional environment.
  • Demonstrated oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to create an environment with approachability, hospitality, and customer service.
  • Experience working with Microsoft Office Suite, and in a PC environment.
  • Problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Discretion in handling confidential matters.
  • Will be evaluated on our core values of passion for mission, integrity, and teamwork.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the first point of contact by professionally greeting visitors and staff to ensure a welcoming experience.
  • Provide excellent customer service while answering calls, taking messages, checking in visitors, and maintaining the lobby and meeting spaces.
  • Coordinate the purchasing, inventory, distribution, and stocking of office supplies and Foundation-branded materials.
  • Support daily office operations by opening and distributing mail, being the point-of-contact for service vendors, and tracking facility work orders.
  • Assist with coordination and tracking of shared building resources.
  • Support GIFT Academy sessions by scheduling, recording, and coordinating post-session action items.
  • Special projects-as needed.
