About The Position

This role is responsible for assisting with receiving and shipping, including unloading delivery trucks, receiving raw materials, and checking incoming shipments for damage and accuracy. The position also involves ensuring proper documentation, coordinating with purchasing and quality control, and maintaining warehouse organization.

Requirements

• Ability to load and unload delivery trucks.
• Ability to check incoming shipments for damage and accuracy.
• Ability to request missing information from relevant departments.
• Ability to ensure components have inventory tags and QC approval before transfer.
• Ability to organize warehouse space efficiently.
• Ability to perform weekly cycle counts.
• Regularly required to talk or listen.
• Frequently required to use hands or fingers, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls.
• Occasionally required to stand, walk; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus.

• Experience with warehouse management systems.
• Familiarity with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

Responsibilities

• Assist with receiving and shipping loads.
• Load and unload delivery trucks.
• Receive raw materials and check incoming shipments for damage.
• Ensure correct product and quantity are delivered, noting any deviations from the packing slip or bill of lading.
• Request missing information from Purchasing or Account Representatives.
• Ensure components or raw materials have an inventory tag before transferring.
• Clear QC and allocate new components into bin locations.
• Ensure components are stamped and approved by QC before moving to bin locations.
• Work with QC to ensure all requested containers are returned to rooms.
• Maintain and organize the warehouse, including emptying trash containers and cleaning spills.
• Ensure doors are locked and bay doors are closed when not in use, and report any door problems.
• Organize components/raw materials to utilize warehouse space efficiently, documenting on a WMMF.
• Combine like products.
• Ensure all containers are put away in racks and scanned to location.
• Perform weekly cycle counts.
