About The Position

The Receiving Support Associate is a seasonal, part-time role supporting Bloomingdale’s store logistics and fulfillment operations. The role helps process incoming merchandise and fulfill customer orders while following company standards. Work includes preparing and packing merchandise for shipment, picking orders from the selling floor and stock rooms, unpacking new receipts, and contributing to logistical initiatives. The position calls for speed, attention to detail, teamwork, and adaptability.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Strong interpersonal skills and proven ability to communicate and share information with diverse groups of customers and peers.
Resourceful self-starter who works well independently and as part of a team, and can adapt quickly to changing priorities.
Ability to work a flexible retail schedule, including day, evening, weekend, and/or holiday hours.
Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods.
May involve reaching, crouching, kneeling, stooping, and color vision.
Frequent use of computers and other technology, including handheld equipment and cash registers, and ability to process register transactions.
Frequently lift or move up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

Greet and welcome customers while on the selling floor.
Support processing new receipts according to company standards.
Search for and pick merchandise from the selling floor and stock rooms for all fulfillment types.
Learn and apply packing policies and techniques to ensure packages arrive in excellent condition.
Participate in logistical initiatives, including returns to vendors (RTVs), CDTs, price changes, damages and salvages, and job outs.
Use technology to support store operations.
Support the store during big-day events.
