About The Position

The Stocking Associate performs merchandise stocking duties in Receiving and on the Sales Floor. The role supports a positive customer shopping experience by maintaining back stock, replenishing merchandise, unloading trucks as needed, and staying current on product knowledge, advertised sales, and plan-o-grams. The associate also helps with pricing and signing, maintains a clean and stocked work area, and follows company policies and procedures. The position performs work under general supervision using established procedures, with occasional independent judgment to complete assignments and make recommendations on work procedures, policies, and practices.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent experience.
• Ability to calculate figures such as discounts and make change for customers.
• Ability to communicate in a friendly and professional manner with customers and associates.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with management, coworkers, and customers.
• Ability to operate a computerized Point of Sale register system.
• Ability to read label descriptions and stock merchandise by UPC codes.
• Ability to move, lift, and carry objects up to 50 pounds constantly, and occasionally move objects weighing 100 pounds or more.
• Ability to stand and/or walk for prolonged periods and perform repetitive motions involving the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
• Ability to occasionally use ladders, stairs, ramps, machinery, and/or power tools, and work in confined spaces, varying temperatures, outdoor elements, noisy environments, and hazardous conditions.

Responsibilities

• Support world-class customer service and ensure a pleasant and productive shopping experience for customers.
• Organize and manage back stock daily.
• Replenish product on shelves and in back stock according to merchandising guidelines.
• Unload trucks as needed.
• Maintain product expertise through ongoing product knowledge training.
• Stay knowledgeable about advertised sales and plan-o-grams.
• Assist with pricing maintenance and signing.
• Keep the work area clean, neat, and well stocked with supplies.
• Follow all company policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
