About The Position

The Receiving Clerk performs work in the store’s Receiving area, including merchandise stocking, inventory control, pricing, and merchandise returns. The role supports a pleasant, productive customer experience and follows company policies and procedures. Work is performed under general supervision using established procedures, with occasional independent judgment to complete assignments and make recommendations about work procedures, policies, and practices.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent experience.
Ability to perform simple arithmetic, including addition, subtraction, and multiplication.
Ability to communicate in a friendly and professional manner with customers and associates.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with management, coworkers, and customers.
Ability to perform the stated physical demands, including lifting and carrying objects up to 50 pounds constantly and occasionally moving objects weighing 100 pounds or more.

Responsibilities

Support a strong commitment to world-class customer service and ensure a pleasant and productive shopping experience for customers.
Unload trucks, stock and ticket merchandise, and process returns.
Maintain the Receiving area layout established by the Corporate Office.
Interact with associates in a friendly, positive, and professional manner.
Keep the work area clean, neat, and safe.
Follow all Company Policies and Procedures.
Remain knowledgeable of advertised sales.
Perform other duties as assigned.
