About The Position

The Receiving Clerk performs work in the store’s Receiving area, including merchandise stocking, inventory control, pricing, and merchandise returns. The role supports a world-class customer-service commitment and helps ensure a pleasant and productive shopping experience. The clerk works under general supervision using established procedures, while applying occasional independent judgment to complete assignments and recommending improvements to work procedures, policies, and practices. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent experience.
Ability to perform simple arithmetic, including addition, subtraction, and multiplication.
Ability to communicate in a friendly and professional manner with customers and associates.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with management, coworkers, and customers.
Ability to move, lift, and carry objects up to 50 pounds; occasionally move objects weighing 100 pounds or more.
Ability to stand and/or walk for prolonged periods and perform repetitive motions involving the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
Ability to frequently ascend or descend ladders, stairs, ramps, or similar structures.
Ability to work occasionally around machinery or power tools, motor vehicles or heavy equipment, confined spaces, temperature extremes, outdoor elements, noise, and hazardous conditions.

Responsibilities

Unload trucks, stock merchandise, ticket merchandise, and process returns.
Maintain the Receiving area layout established by the Corporate Office.
Interact with associates in a friendly, positive, and professional manner.
Keep the work area clean, neat, and safe.
Follow all Company policies and procedures.
Remain knowledgeable about advertised sales.
Support a strong commitment to customer service and a pleasant, productive customer experience.
Perform other duties as assigned.
