About The Position
Receiving Clerk - Central Distribution Valid Ohio driver’s license and proof of auto insurance is required by hospital policy. Must pass a motor vehicle background inspection, insurance eligibility, driving qualifications and training set forth by Nationwide Children’s Hospital and must maintain qualification of insurance guidelines. Some box truck driving and delivering of palatized items and medical equipment around campus. Job Description Summary: Inspects deliveries and completes receipt operations for incoming shipments of materials and verifies contents against purchase orders or invoices.
Requirements
- High school education or equivalent, required.
- One year of receiving experience, required.
- One year of data entry experience, required.
- Working knowledge of lifting and transporting skills.
- Valid Ohio driver’s license and proof of auto insurance.
- Must pass a motor vehicle background inspection, insurance eligibility, driving qualifications and training set forth by Nationwide Children’s Hospital and must maintain qualification of insurance guidelines.
Responsibilities
- Unloads, verifies, and inspects incoming shipments for accuracy and completeness.
- Records and reports delivery details and any discrepancies or damages to the appropriate parties.
- Communicates with suppliers and internal departments to resolve any issues with shipments.
- Stages deliveries in designated locations for delivery and putaway.
- Upkeeps records and files of received goods, processes returned goods, and tracks packages internally.
- Maintains all transporting vehicles used to move supplies throughout Hospital.
