This role is responsible for inspecting deliveries and completing receipt operations for incoming shipments of materials. The clerk verifies contents against purchase orders or invoices, unloads, verifies, and inspects incoming shipments for accuracy and completeness. They record and report delivery details and any discrepancies or damages to the appropriate parties, and communicate with suppliers and internal departments to resolve any issues with shipments. The position also involves staging deliveries in designated locations for delivery and putaway, maintaining records and files of received goods, processing returned goods, and tracking packages internally. Additionally, the clerk is responsible for maintaining all transporting vehicles used to move supplies throughout the hospital. A valid Ohio driver's license, proof of auto insurance, and the ability to pass a motor vehicle background inspection and driving qualifications are required. Some box truck driving and delivering of palletized items and medical equipment around campus may be involved.
