About The Position

Earth Fare Team Members help ensure customers have a fulfilling store visit by answering questions and meeting their shopping needs. They guide customers toward healthy food and trusted wellbeing and household products. The Receiver supports the store by coordinating incoming deliveries and product flow, maintaining a safe, secure, clean, and organized backroom, and assisting the Grocery Department as needed.

Requirements

Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
Strong communication skills and the ability to direct people positively and professionally.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, including Excel.
Ability to learn and use a handheld computer scanner.
Attention to detail and proficiency in math.
Ability to use a hand-operated pallet jack.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds; items weighing more than 50 pounds should be lifted with help from another team member.
Ability to bend, reach, stoop, kneel, and squat.
Ability to push, pull, and maneuver heavy loads.
Ability to stand and be on one's feet for most of the workday.

Nice To Haves

Understanding of food safety.
Warehouse experience.
Forklift certification.

Responsibilities

Check in store vendors, warehouse trucks, and common carriers according to department Standard Operating Procedures.
Document shortages, discrepancies, damages, and miss-picked items to ensure proper credits are issued to departments and the store.
Coordinate product flow in the backroom and efficiently receive, store, and distribute products to departments.
Maintain a safe and secure work environment.
Oversee the recycling program and the use and storage of shopping carts.
Maintain back-door security related to products and people.
Ensure the backroom is clean and products are stored properly.
Keep paperwork organized and communicate with vendors and Team Members.
Support the Grocery Department with various tasks as needed.
