About The Position

As a Receiver/Stocker at Lowe’s, you help keep the store clean, safe, and ready for customers by receiving freight accurately, stocking shelves, and organizing merchandise and top stock. You unload deliveries, move products to the sales floor, prepare pallets, and maintain an organized backroom and workspace. You may assist customers with locating or loading products and are expected to provide friendly, professional support to customers and teammates. This is a physical, fast-paced role that involves spending most of the shift on your feet and following safe lifting practices. Work schedules may include mornings, afternoons, evenings, or overnight hours depending on store needs. Work conditions can include indoor and outdoor environments, variable and sometimes extreme weather, noise, and moving or shaking equipment. Single lifts are limited to 75 pounds; team lifts are used minimally starting at 75 pounds or when needed. Powered equipment must be used as required, with proper training or assistance from a trained coworker. Regular travel is not required, though occasional travel for meetings, training, or support of nearby stores may be needed. At Pro Fulfillment Stores, the role also includes picking and staging Flatbed Delivery orders, loading orders safely and accurately, rotating orders by delivery date, resolving customer order issues, communicating with customers about delivery satisfaction, and following Delivery Readiness best practices.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED, or equivalent years of experience in lieu of the education requirement where applicable.
Follow safe lifting practices; single lifts are limited to 75 pounds, with team lifts used minimally starting at 75 pounds or when needed.
Use powered equipment as required, with proper training or assistance from a trained coworker.
Provide friendly and professional assistance to customers and teammates.

Nice To Haves

Three months of experience operating forklifts or other power equipment, such as lifts and order pickers.
Six months of experience in a warehouse performing inventory handling and stocking.
Bilingual ability and military or veteran background are encouraged.

Responsibilities

Assist customers, answer questions, and offer support during projects while delivering SMART customer service.
Unload freight, stock merchandise, down-stock products, organize shelves, and set up pallets.
Verify deliveries, complete dock preparation, and use equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts to support store operations.
Follow procedures for hazardous materials, equipment use, and housekeeping to maintain a clean and safe environment.
Operate store equipment, including scanners, Zebra phones, and balers, as needed.
Work as a team player and complete other assigned tasks.
At Pro Fulfillment Stores, use the Orders App to pick and stage Flatbed Delivery orders.
At Pro Fulfillment Stores, load delivery orders safely and accurately, rotate orders by delivery date, resolve order issues, communicate with customers about delivery satisfaction, and follow Delivery Readiness best practices.
