About The Position

The Receiver/Stocker helps keep the store clean, safe, and ready for customers by receiving freight, stocking shelves, organizing merchandise and top stock, and preparing work areas for daily operations. The role involves unloading deliveries, handling equipment and hazardous materials safely, and assisting customers and teammates in a friendly, professional manner. It is physically active and fast-paced, with most of the shift spent on foot. Scheduling may include mornings, afternoons, evenings, or overnight hours depending on store needs. The position also supports store operations through delivery verification, dock preparation, product movement, and equipment use. At Pro Fulfillment Stores, additional duties include picking and staging flatbed delivery orders, loading and rotating orders, resolving order issues, communicating with customers about delivery satisfaction, and following delivery-readiness practices. Work may take place inside or outside and involve varying weather, noise, and moving equipment. Associates must follow lifting guidelines, including limiting single lifts to 75 pounds and using team lifts minimally starting at 75 pounds or when needed.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED, or equivalent years of experience in lieu of the education requirement, if applicable.
Follow safe lifting practices and lifting guidelines, including limiting single lifts to 75 pounds.
Use powered equipment only with proper training or assistance from a trained coworker.

Nice To Haves

Three months of experience operating forklifts or power equipment such as lifts and order pickers.
Six months of experience in a warehouse performing inventory handling and stocking.
Bilingual, military, and veteran applicants are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

Deliver SMART customer service by assisting customers, answering questions, and offering support during projects.
Unload freight and stock merchandise by down-stocking, organizing shelves, and setting up pallets.
Verify deliveries, complete dock preparation, and move products to the sales floor.
Maintain a clean and safe workspace by following procedures for hazardous materials, equipment use, and housekeeping.
Operate store equipment and tools, including pallet jacks, forklifts, scanners, Zebra phones, and balers, as needed.
Assist customers with locating or loading products.
Complete other assigned tasks as a team player.
At Pro Fulfillment Stores, use the Orders App to pick and stage flatbed delivery orders.
At Pro Fulfillment Stores, load delivery orders while ensuring quality, accuracy, and safe loading practices.
At Pro Fulfillment Stores, rotate orders by delivery date and resolve customer order issues.
At Pro Fulfillment Stores, proactively communicate with customers to ensure delivery satisfaction and execute Delivery Readiness best practices.
