About The Position

As a Receiver/Stocker at Lowe’s, you help keep the store clean, safe, and ready for customers by receiving freight, stocking shelves, and organizing merchandise and top stock. You unload deliveries, handle equipment and hazardous materials safely, and prepare your work area for daily operations. The role is physical and fast-paced, with most of the shift spent on your feet. You may assist customers and teammates with a friendly, professional attitude. Scheduling may include mornings, afternoons, evenings, or overnight hours based on store needs. You will unload freight, move products to the sales floor, maintain organized shelves and backrooms, verify deliveries, and prepare the dock. You may use equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts, as well as scanners, Zebra phones, and balers. At Pro Fulfillment Stores, additional duties include picking and staging flatbed delivery orders, loading orders safely and accurately, rotating orders by delivery date, resolving order issues, communicating with customers, and following delivery-readiness practices. The position may involve working indoors and outdoors in varying weather and climate conditions, exposure to noise and moving equipment, and lifting within stated safety limits. Regular travel is not required, though occasional travel for meetings, training, or nearby-store support may be needed.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED, or equivalent years of experience in lieu of the education requirement where applicable.
Follow safe lifting practices; single lifts are limited to 75 pounds, and team lifts are used minimally starting at 75 pounds or when needed.
Use powered equipment only as required and with proper training or assistance from a trained coworker.

Nice To Haves

Three months of experience operating forklifts or power equipment such as lifts and order pickers.
Six months of warehouse experience handling inventory and stocking.
Bilingual ability, military experience, or veteran status is encouraged.

Responsibilities

Deliver SMART customer service by assisting customers, answering questions, and offering project support.
Unload freight and stock merchandise by down-stocking, organizing shelves, and setting up pallets.
Verify deliveries, complete dock preparation, and support store operations using equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following procedures for hazardous materials, equipment use, and housekeeping.
Operate store equipment, including scanners, Zebra phones, balers, and other tools as needed.
Work as a team player and complete other assigned tasks.
At Pro Fulfillment Stores, use the Orders App to pick and stage flatbed delivery orders.
Load delivery orders while ensuring quality, accuracy, and safe loading practices.
Rotate orders by delivery date, resolve customer order issues, and communicate proactively with customers about delivery satisfaction.
Execute Delivery Readiness best practices.
Occasionally travel for meetings, training sessions, or to support nearby stores, as needed.
