About The Position

As a Receiver/Stocker at Lowe’s, you help keep the store clean, safe, and ready for customers by accurately receiving freight, stocking shelves, and organizing merchandise and top stock. You unload deliveries, handle equipment and hazardous materials safely, and prepare your area for daily operations. The role is physical and fast-paced, requiring safe lifting practices and attention to detail. You spend most of your shift on your feet and may work mornings, afternoons, evenings, or overnight depending on store needs. You may also help customers and teammates with a friendly, professional attitude. The position involves unloading freight, moving products to the sales floor, maintaining organized backrooms, and keeping the work area clean and safe. You may assist customers in locating or loading products. For Pro Fulfillment Stores, additional duties include picking, staging, and loading flatbed delivery orders, rotating orders by delivery date, addressing order issues, communicating with customers, and following Delivery Readiness practices. The work environment can include indoor and outdoor conditions, varying climates, noise, and moving or shaking objects and equipment. Associates must follow lifting guidelines, including limiting single lifts to 75 pounds; team lifts and powered equipment are used as needed and in accordance with training and safety procedures. Regular travel is not required, though occasional travel may be needed for meetings, training, or support at nearby stores.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED, or equivalent years of experience in lieu of the education requirement, if applicable.
Follow safe lifting practices, including limiting single lifts to 75 pounds and using team lifts or powered equipment as appropriate.
Work in a physically active role, spending most of the shift on your feet.

Nice To Haves

Three months of experience operating forklifts or power equipment such as lifts and order pickers.
Six months of experience in a warehouse performing inventory handling and stocking.
Bilingual, military, or veteran talent is encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

Provide SMART customer service by assisting customers, answering questions, and offering support during projects.
Unload freight, down-stock merchandise, organize shelves, and set up pallets.
Verify deliveries, complete dock preparation, and support store operations using equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following procedures for hazardous materials, equipment use, and housekeeping.
Operate store equipment, including scanners, Zebra phones, and balers.
Assist customers in locating or loading products when needed.
Work as a team player and complete other assigned tasks.
At Pro Fulfillment Stores, use the Orders App to pick and stage flatbed delivery orders.
At Pro Fulfillment Stores, load delivery orders while ensuring quality, accuracy, and safe loading practices.
At Pro Fulfillment Stores, rotate orders by delivery date, resolve customer order issues, communicate proactively with customers, and follow Delivery Readiness best practices.
