About The Position

Join a mission-driven organization that supports Civil Air Patrol’s nationwide operations! We’re seeking a Real Property Specialist to support the execution of Civil Air Patrol’s (CAP) nationwide real property program through administrative, analytical, and coordination activities related to facilities, leases, and property records. The position contributes to effective program operations by maintaining accurate documentation, tracking actions, preparing reports, and coordinating information across CAP staff, volunteers, and external stakeholders. The Specialist supports program execution and continuity by ensuring data integrity, timely follow‑up, and effective communication within the Real Property Program. The salary range is $53,000 - $73,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • Experience in an administrative, logistics, facilities, or program support role.
  • Strong organizational skills with demonstrated attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to synthesize quantitative and qualitative data from multiple sources.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with individuals at all organizational levels.

Responsibilities

  • Provides day‑to‑day program support to the Real Property Program Manager in support of CAP’s real property portfolio.
  • Maintains and updates real property records, lease files, agreements, and supporting documentation in ORMS or other approved systems.
  • Tracks facility maintenance actions, inspections, corrective actions, and suspense dates to support program execution.
  • Coordinates information between headquarters, Regions, Wings, facility managers, and other internal and external stakeholders.
  • Tracks property‑related expenses and invoices to support alignment with established budgets and financial procedures.
  • Maintains emergency planning documentation by tracking facility‑related updates provided by field units.
