About The Position

The Real Estate Precloser must be extremely organized, professional, team-oriented, customer service focused, and able to communicate professionally with clients effectively via telephone and email. The ideal candidate will possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, a strong work ethic, and meticulous attention to detail and deadlines. This role requires a minimum of two years of Preclosing experience with a title company or law firm, preferably within the state of Georgia.

Responsibilities

  • Communicate with agents, lenders, buyers and sellers throughout closing transactions from receipt of contract through closing.
  • Coordinate with parties and vendors during transaction to close in accordance with contract dates and related due dates set by lender.
  • Receive contracts and direct files opened with appropriate client team.
  • Order title examination and municipal lien searches (if applicable).
  • Confirms Contact information of all parties of the transaction is correct in Firm software.
  • Follows and completes each assigned Firm task to accurately prepare the file for closing.
  • Communicates with the buyers, sellers, real estate agents, lenders to request specified documents related to contract, title, and any financing.
  • Verifies accuracy and consistency of specifications on documents received for closing.
  • Works closely with the Attorneys on title clearance issues prior to closing.
  • Orders payoffs and estoppel letters with good through dates past the settlement closing date.
  • Ensures accuracy of title commitment and submits the commitment to lenders.
  • Coordinates closing appointment(s) with parties to transaction.
  • Answers questions regarding closing process requirements.
  • Generates Firm documents prior to closing for buyers and sellers to facilitate completion of closing files.
  • Other tasks as directed by manager or managing attorney.
