About The Position

Edgewood Properties, a leading real estate development and property management company founded in 1992, is seeking a full-time Real Estate Paralegal & Loan Closing Coordinator. This role is based at our corporate headquarters in Piscataway, NJ, and is not a hybrid position. The company is experiencing rapid growth, with plans to double its apartment portfolio in the next few years and expand to over 12,000 units in five years. The ideal candidate will support complex real estate transactions and commercial projects, providing legal and administrative expertise to ensure smooth closings and project management. We are looking for someone with a strong understanding of commercial and residential real estate transactions, comfortable with large loan transactions and sizable commercial projects, detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. This role offers the opportunity to work on high-impact projects, take ownership of critical transactions, and collaborate with a team that values independence, expertise, and initiative.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience as a Real Estate Paralegal in a commercial or residential setting.
  • Strong understanding of real estate law, loan documentation, and closing procedures.
  • Strong experience handling commercial loan closings.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

Responsibilities

  • Draft, review, and manage legal documents related to real estate transactions.
  • Coordinate with internal teams, clients, and external parties to ensure seamless transaction flow.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation for all real estate projects and loan closings.
  • Assist in due diligence and ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
  • Support senior attorneys and team members as needed on complex commercial and residential transactions.
