About The Position

The Velocity Program is a customized experience focused on providing students with the development and tools needed to grow their careers. Upon successful completion with top performance, future placements will be established, allowing participants to learn, grow, and experiment within different areas of both Scotiabank and Tangerine. The intern will contribute to the Global Real Estate & Corporate Services (GRECS) department in Canada, ensuring individual goals and initiatives support team business strategies and objectives, while adhering to governing regulations, internal policies, and procedures.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in post-secondary education, preferably real estate or a related program.
  • Passion and strong AOO (Attitude, Ownership and Opportunity).
  • Proficient in Microsoft programs.
  • Demonstrate the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Able to communicate effectively with colleagues, clients, and other stakeholders.

Nice To Haves

  • Some experience in GIS is considered an asset.
  • French or Spanish is an asset, but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the retail and office team to deliver high-quality leases.
  • Responsible for the production of documentation in written form, to a high quality and professional standard.
  • Develop written and visual materials to represent retail and office premises.
  • Gather market data.
  • Work with external stakeholders (e.g., Landlords).
  • Work on special programs, projects, or initiatives to meet Bank Strategic Objectives as assigned by GRECS leadership.
