About The Position

The Velocity Program is a customized experience focused on providing interns and co-op students with the development and tools needed to grow their careers. Upon successful completion with top performance, Scotiabank will work with students to establish future placements, allowing them to learn, grow, and experiment within different areas of both Scotiabank and Tangerine. This internship/co-op is an opportunity to be part of a winning team, build a network, and discover career interests while being paid.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in post-secondary education, preferably Architecture, Building Technology, Design or related program.
• Some experience in the production of design and space planning drawings in AutoCAD.
• Proficient in CAD, Revit, and other pertinent software including Sketchup, Photoshop and MS Office.
• Experience in 3D renderings, SketchUp, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign, and any other software platforms.
• Demonstrate the ability to meet deadlines.
• Strong initiative and motivation to achieve high standards in architectural work.
• Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, clients, consultants and other stakeholders.

• French or Spanish is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Collaboration with an office team in design, preparation of presentation material, sample boards and in the production of documents in AutoCAD.
• Production of documentation in written form, to a high quality and professional standard.
• Regular schedule of work, and meeting of schedule for work assigned by the team.
• Develop visual materials to represent designs, utilizing Photoshop and Adobe Suite.
