About The Position

This is a critical leadership opportunity reporting to the Chief Investment and Development Officer, where you will take on a transformative role in driving Kasa’s portfolio expansion as a Real Estate Growth Executive. In this role, you will be responsible for securing managed units through new unit launches, hotel conversions, hotel development, and acquisition while also participating in high-value, strategic growth initiatives. You bring unmatched expertise in sourcing, negotiating, and closing complex transactions at scale. With an extensive network of property owners, lenders, and brokers, you will lead deal-making efforts for apartment, apartment-hotel and traditional hotel assets, leveraging innovative structures to minimize risk and maximize financial outcomes for both Kasa and our partners. The ideal candidate is a forward-thinking, results-oriented professional who thrives in a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment and is passionate about shaping the future of real estate and hospitality. This role is in our Real Estate department. The mission of the department is to grow Kasa's national and global footprint by partnering with multifamily, hotel, and apart-hotel developers and owners. We achieve this mission by demonstrating the tremendous value we create for our partners through our high-margin and flexible operating model. Unlike traditional hospitality operators, we partner with property owners across a wide set of markets, property types, unit types, and deal structures, including, traditional management agreements, revenue share leases, centralized services agreements, and property acquisitions. As a result, our dynamic operations, proprietary tech, and cost structure make Kasa the one-stop partner for property owners. Members of the team have diverse backgrounds in real estate private equity, finance, investment sales, construction, and hotel business development. Kasa team members are passionate about building a platform that delivers value to property owners and serves guests seeking trustworthy, well-priced accommodations in great locations.

Requirements

  • Extensive relationships with top-tier institutional owners, brokers, and lenders, with a focus on multifamily and hotel asset classes nationwide.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in institutional real estate, multifamily or hospitality acquisitions, management, or brokerage, with a demonstrated ability to scale portfolios.
  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • Exceptional track record of closing complex, high-value transactions, including management and franchise agreements.
  • Advanced understanding of multifamily and hospitality business dynamics, regulatory landscapes, and property-level economics.
  • Strong leadership skills, with experience mentoring teams and contributing to organizational strategy.
  • Highly strategic thinker with excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Exceptional negotiation and communication skills, capable of influencing stakeholders at all levels.
  • Willingness to travel extensively to build and maintain relationships and close deals.

Nice To Haves

  • Relationships and experience in the Western US.
  • Investment or development experience in the hospitality and multifamily sectors.
  • Proven ability to leverage proprietary capital relationships to enhance deal opportunities and drive portfolio growth.
  • Worked extensively with zoning, building codes, and other regulatory frameworks impacting short-term rentals and hotels.
  • Hotel development experience.
  • Master’s Degree

Responsibilities

  • Identify, pursue, and close transformative deals across multifamily and hospitality assets, focusing on high-value opportunities that align with Kasa’s growth goals.
  • Lead end-to-end deal processes, including sourcing, underwriting, structuring, negotiating, and closing.
  • Work with ownership to craft a strategic vision for the asset and align internal resources to bring the project to life.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to institutional owners, brokers, and lenders, establishing Kasa as a preferred partner.
  • Develop and execute tailored growth strategies for specific regions and asset types, focusing on untapped markets.
  • Mentor and guide junior and mid-level growth executives, fostering a high-performance, collaborative culture.
  • Share industry insights, best practices, and innovative approaches to elevate the team’s overall effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to refine and evolve Kasa’s deal playbook, integrating data-driven insights and market trends.
  • Design and implement new partnership models that maximize portfolio growth and enhance long-term value.
  • Track, analyze, and present key performance indicators related to deal volume, market penetration, and unit growth to executive leadership.

  • The Pay: The starting base pay range for this role is between $175,000 and $225,000 annually and is set based on multiple considerations, including business needs, market demands, talent availability, experience, and unique skills and attributes. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified. This role may also be eligible for equity, bonus, perks, benefits, and Kasa Travel Credits.
